Cornerback/punt returner Robert McClain was drafted in Carolina Panthers’ seventh round and he was the only Husky that got selected aside from Marcus Easley (fourth) in this year’s draft.

In an interview he joked, “No more Nike, Reebok or Addidas stuff.” He added, “My stuff has the NFL logo on it now. I got my uniform and everything. Now, it’s about getting even more focused and trying to make the team in August.”
Earlier this week, just like Robbie Vaughn, he said that he felt like he was at UConn again.
He added further, “I wasn’t overwhlemed with anything at all,” McClain said. “I wasn’t nervous. I just went out there and worked.”
He mentioned that over the weekend, all the Carolina Panthers were in camp, and everybody did everything. As others played his positions, he also did the same.
He said, “More than anything the mini-camp was getting you mentally prepared for when you go back.”
McClain will be rejoining Carolina Panthers for practices this month before he heads out to Californina for the NFL’s rookie symposium by June end.
