It seems that the Panthers is in need of a new quarterback. Jake Delhomme, Josh McCown, and Matt Moore are already there. Delhomme has been known to be a very good quarterback for years, but after a rough season and rougher post season, the Carolina Panthers are really in need.

McCown and Moore are the two back up quarterbacks of the Panthers. For Josh McCown, it seems as if he has just about played for all the teams in the NFL. Moore has shown flashes in the past, but nothing spectacular as of now. Hence, for the Panthers quarterback position, it seems that it isn’t looking very good at this time.

The Carolina Panthers really needs to think about this carefully. Are the Panthers still having enough confidence in Delhomme or else they should look to add someone else. The Panthers can pick up or trade for a veteran such as Derek Anderson or Jeff Garcia. Even they may reunite with Kerry Collins.
It seems that the Panthers need a rookie quarterback. Everybody has seen the success from Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco the previous year, so why couldn’t it be repeated again this year. The Panthers don’t have a first round pick. Hence, it would be hard for them to grab a good quarterback.

But yes, they can trade up as they there is a chance they will franchise Julius Peppers and trade him for some draft picks.
