Richard Marshall, the cornerback of Carolina Panthers, is seen recently very upset with his contract situation with the club and as an aftermath he is skipping this weekend’s minicamp.

He has not signed his one-year contract with the Panthers. It was a $1.759 million tender as a restricted free agent. As he is not under contract, so he can’t be fined for skipping the mandatory minicamp.
He is like other many NFL players that has been signed for and having four years experience. He would have been unrestricted free agents if the owners had not decided to opt out of collective bargaining agreement early and play this season without a salary cap.
However, John Fox, the coach of Panthers, says that he has been assured that Marshall is staying in shape.
