Some changes in the Panthers

Recently there has been a shuffle in the Panthers.

The main and the big addition to the Carolina Panthers this offseason was of hiring the Ron Meeks, the defensive coordinator. Release of Mike Trgovac, former defensive coordinator is also there.

Carolina Panthers defense was looking stale with Trgovac. It is said that Trgovac ran a conservative style of defense and Carolina Panthers looked to have lost their aggressive defensive play from the season of 2003 Super Bowl.

The club, during the 2008 campaign, had a pedestrian defensive secondary many time. Though the defensive front was powerful but still it had problems closing the gaps to stop good running teams.
Under Ron Meeks, the new defensive coordinator, the club is looking to employ more aggressive style of attack on the defensive line. Even more tight coverage in the secondary. Meeks better knows the way to build a solid defense and also make it perform well at the same time.
