The Panthers Trade DE Julius Peppers For the 34th Overall Pick? No Way!  | read this item

First of all the New England Patriots trade QB Matt Cassel and LB Mike Vrabel for a 34th overall pick.
This in fact has been a hot topic lately. Is it that the Pats have given a hometown discount to the Chiefs?

There are also rumors among the fans that the Patriots are primed to trade for Peppers.

They are offering up only that pick they received from the Chiefs.

This at all does not make any sense to because of two reasons:
The first reason is that Peppers is worth a lot more than that. Other teams has to give up 2 first-rounders for his services. Then just think, why should Patriots get away with highway robbery one more time.

The second reason is that Panthers would be stupid to accept the trade, plain and simple. The team don’t want to part with the 4 time pro bowler and are optimistic that an extension is on tap.

The DE has mentioned that he wants out, and he wants to play for a team with a 3-4 defense.
Is Peppers is $100 million worth contract then that’s for the Patriots or else the other teams to decide.

Just see, for Peppers to stay right where he is. He cannot holdout, missing the entire season would damage any hope of a pricey contract.

Hence, he will give in to the team and suit up for the Carolina Panthers next year.

It’s just like what Wilbon said to the media recently, “You could always draft a player at that position, and in one year he could have an impact like Peppers.”
