The Panther’s left tackle, Jordan Gross, sustained a severe, level three concussion in Sunday’s game against Atlanta, when he was kneed in the head by a defender. Because the concussion is a level three, the worst you can get, Gross will be out a mandatory two weeks. Obviously that puts Gross out for this weekend’s game against Kansas City, but Gross will remain questionable for the October 12th game against the Bucs.
With Gross missing at least a game, most likley RG, Travelle Wharton, will move over and fill in for Gross, while Geoff Hangartner takes over for Wharton. Luckily the Panthers aren’t playing a very difficult defense in Kansas City, but that offensive line will need all hands on deck for the following game against Tampa Bay. The Panthers also signed tackle Jonathan Palmer to the pracitce squad due to the lack of depth on the offensive line.
