After serving a two game suspension for sucker punching teammate Ken Lucas during training camp, Carolina Panther wide receiver Steve Smith returned to Bank of America Stadium, Monday, ready to put the past behind him.

After the incident, there was a fear that the fight would ultimately divide the team, but it actually did quite the opposite.  Th classy way in which Ken Lucas handled the situation ended any chance of disunity.  Even though Smith wasn’t on the field during the first two games of the season, he was certainly in the minds of the players, texting Jake Delhomme and Chris Harris, and cheering in front of his T.V. at home.

Now with Smith back, the Panthers will have their entire offense this Sunday, when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.  The Panthers showed how tough they are, winning against two very good teams without Smith, so it will be exciting to see how the offense moves with Smith back on the field.
