The Panthers placed defenisve tackle Gary Gibson on IR Wednesday.  Gibson suffered a hand injury last week, and was able to play Sunday, but did not show any progress and was deactivated.  Gibson will be replaced by J’Vonne Parker a defensive tackle on the Falcon’s practice squad.

With Kemoeatu still questionable with a sprained ankle the Panthers are looking thin at defensive tackle.  If they can beat New Orleans Sunday and clinch a first round bye, they should have time to rest up their starters.
