President Danny Morrison is set to address Greenville Chamber

Danny Morrison will be the speaker at the 121st annual meeting of Greenville Chamber to be held on 28th Jan at the Carolina First center.

He became the president on September 2. He received this post after serving five years at Texas Christian University, as the Director of Athletics.

His association with the Panthers started in 1995 at the team’s inaugural season at Wofford College. He was the director of Athletics at that time.

The Greenville Chambers is set to announce the award winners for the year 2009. The awards which are to be presented are:-

· The Small Business of the Year Award sponsored by Dixon Hughes PLLC

· The Minority Business of the Year Award sponsored by Bank of America

· The Young Professional of the Year Award sponsored by BB&T

· The Athena Award sponsored by Independence National Bank

· The Max Heller Neighborhood Improvement Award sponsored by Wachovia

· The Chairman’s Award sponsored by Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart P.C.

· The Buck Mickel Leadership Award sponsored by AT&T.

· The Arts Leadership Award sponsored by The Peace Center for the Performing Arts. This award has been introduced by the Chamber this year.

Tim Justice of Rescom Construction will also be awarded for his service and Michael J. Hayes, who is currently the President of WYFF4, will become the Chamber’s Leader for 2010.
