Panthers wide receiver Jason Carter was placed on IR Monday after suffering a season ending /kneeinjury in Saturday’s game versus the Washington Redskins.

This puts the Panthers pretty thin at receiver for the first two weeks of the season, with Steve Smith serving a suspension and D. J. Hackett and Ryne Robinson still injured.
